Fall Session 2023 - Meet The Instructors

Danalyn LeBlanc lives in Ponchatoula, La. She spent her teen years performing in her high school theatre program. From there, she gained a background in cosmetology and was part of a local singing group for three years. She has since devoted her talents to raising her family and helping out at Swamplight Theatre, Home of the Kay Butler Performing Arts Project. Her most notable roles at Swamplight Theatre are her appearances in Swamplight’s Cabaret productions, Eleanor Dunbar in this year's production of Footloose as well as Annelle in Steel Magnolias.

Kristi-Anne, most commonly known nowadays as “K-A,” is excited to join the Swamplight family this fall, teaching dance to any students who want to learn and have fun. K-A graduated from Northwestern State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre with a concentration in Dance. After college, she taught at a dance studio in Kenner for four years until she found her love for Community Theatre. Since 2016, Kristi-Anne has spread her performer and choreographer wings across the Northshore. Starting at Playmakers in Covington, then venturing out to Slidell, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, and finally found her way to the Columbia Theatre in Hammond. Her favorite choreography credits include Rock of Ages, Shrek, The Jungle Book, Hair, 13, Mamma Mia, and A Chorus Line! When she’s not at the theatre or home, you can find her at Chick-Fil-A in Covington, where she works as the Catering Coordinator! K-A is super stoked to meet everyone, make new friends, and have a great time this next year at KBPAP.
